form Nº 276. Failure

Getting it right and getting it wrong are part of our everyday life. But at what point does getting it wrong become failure? Besides clarifying such terms, the focus of our issue deals with failure in design, looking at the criteria used to judge it and also at possible connections with the way design history is written. Furthermore, we question the hype currently surrounding failure.
The issue also looks at the research project Visualising Race by the design scholar Ramon Amaro; the Material section will explore the physical realisation of digital phenomena; and there is a feature on the social design conference Beyond Change, that took place in Basle in March 2018.

You can read online three selected articles from our magazine with additional visuals. Furthermore there are two dossiers about the design of offices and the photographer of the cover.
